A Massachusetts lottery player wins $1 million recently at 7- Eleven

The winner of a $1 million lottery ticket purchased from a 7-Eleven station has come forward to claim her prize, and the Massachusetts State Lottery said the winner has some Disney-themed plans for her money.

Katherine Weddleton, from Revere, won her $1 million playing the “$10,000,000 Lucky Bucks” scratch ticket game.

The ticket, valued at $20, was one of 81 total “$10,000,000 Lucky Bucks” worth $600 or more claimed on Monday.

Weddleton chose to receive her prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes, the lottery stated. She said she planned on using some of her prize to go on a Disney cruise.

The Revere woman purchased her ticket at a 7-Eleven located at 320 Neponset Ave. in Dorchester, which will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
