Mega Millions lottery ticket worth $1 million sold in Texas

If you've traveled to Texas over the past few days and decided to purchase a Mega Millions ticket during your travels you might be a $3 million dollar winner.

The Mega Millions lottery game and the Texas Lottery are confirming big money winners from Friday's drawing. Here's how the lottery balls bounced on Friday, June 16, 2023.

Mega Millions drawing for June 16, 2023 The numbers, if you couldn't watch the video were: 04 24 34 45 57 Mega Ball 19 Megaplier x3 Tickets purchased for last night's drawing were in play for an estimated top prize of $281 million dollars.

None of the tickets sold for the June 16th game matched the numbers needed to claim the game's top prize.

That means the jackpot for Mega Millions on Tuesday night will be an estimated $300 million dollars.

The Texas Lottery also confirmed two other tickets sold for Friday's game were big money winners too.

The Texas Lottery say suggests two $10,000 winners were sold in the state for Friday's game. What we know about the $3 million dollar winner is this. The ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers but did not match the Mega Ball.

By rule, that ticket would be worth $1,000,000. But since Mega Millions offers the Megaplier option even on Match 5 prizes, the ticket is worth $3,000,000.

The ticket purchaser did opt-in for the "times 3" in this case.
