A Brookfield woman attributed the $10,000 Instant scratch-Its prize to her daughter after she nearly threw out her winning ticket thinking it was a ‘dud’.

The winner is a Melbourne resident who won a $1 Cow-A-Bunga-Cash Instant Scratch-Its ticket at Melton Station Lotto, Shop 8, Station Square Shopping Centre, 11-25 Station Street, Melton South.

The Lott official reached out to the winner and confirmed the win.

 “Oh, my goodness! I couldn’t believe it!” she laughed.

“It’s been over 25 years since I’ve visited my family overseas, and I think I can finally surprise them,” she said.

“I’d also love to share the prize with those in need – children that need new school equipment or animal shelters that need supplies. “It’s a great prize!”
