$1 million winning lottery ticket spent the night in a bag of trash

A Michigan woman was in for a pleasant surprise when she found out that a lottery ticket she thought was a dud turned out to be worth $1 million.

The 30-year-old woman had purchased two scratch-off tickets of a new game called Sizzling Hot 7's from Hansen's Quik Stop in Ovid.

Upon scratching the tickets, she thought both were non-winners and put them in a bag of trash.

The next day, she decided to take another look before throwing them away and realized her mistake.

The winner plans to use her prize money to buy a house and make investments.

The Michigan Lottery offers numerous on-line and scratch-off games, giving players a wide variety of prize possibilities.
