Mooresville man celebrates $100K lottery win off of newly released digital game

Mooresville resident Francis Garcia Arita struck luck just in time for the holidays, winning $100,000 playing the digital lottery game, "The Lamp."

Breaking into celebration with his wife, Arita, who initially saw the grand prize, expressed disbelief, calling the win "wild" and "unreal." Betting $20 with one-in-a-million odds, Arita's persistence paid off.

Having started playing digital instant games after seeing a TV commercial, he claimed his prize at the lottery headquarters in Raleigh, taking home $71,256 after taxes. Arita plans to allocate some winnings towards bills and save the rest for future plans.
