Mother and Son Win Nearly $136,000 in Lotto Max Second Prize

A mother and son from Newmarket, Joyce Dew and Paul Moffatt, are overjoyed after winning nearly $136,000 in a Lotto Max second prize on October 7, 2022.

The winning lottery ticket was purchased at Newmarket Smokes & Convenience on Davis Dr. in Newmarket.

The duo had been playing the lottery together for five years when they discovered their big win.

Moffatt was shocked when he scanned the ticket on the OLG App and saw the winning amount.

Meanwhile, Dew was thrilled when the validation machine froze at the store where she validated their ticket.

Moffatt plans to invest the money, while Dew intends to share some of it with her family and take a trip to Niagara Falls.
