Nebraska Resident Scores $2 Million Powerball Win Ahead of Christmas

In northeast Nebraska, a fortunate individual is set for a prosperous holiday season after purchasing a lucrative lottery ticket.

The Nebraska Lottery announced the sale of a $2 million Powerball ticket in Emerson.

While this ticket didn't match the Powerball number from the recent $620 million draw, it did successfully match the first five winning numbers: 9, 14, 17, 18, and 53, with a Powerball number of 6 and a Power Play of 3, doubling the regular $1 million prize.

Any prizes of $20,000 or more necessitate in-person collection at the Nebraska Lottery's Lincoln office.

Notably, the office will be closed on Christmas Monday. Winners have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prizes before they expire.
