Last Crossword Xtreme Jackpot Sold at Newark Liquor Store

A New Jersey lottery player just scored a $600,000 win from a $30 scratch-off ticket, and it turned out to be the last top prize hiding in the game.

The winning Crossword Xtreme ticket was finally claimed on Saturday, January 10, months after the game launched back on July 31. The ticket was sold at Ralph’s Liquors on Elizabeth Avenue in Newark—ending a long wait for the game’s final grand prize. Fun twist: it took so long to show up that a brand-new version of Crossword Xtreme rolled out just days later on January 12.

And that wasn’t the only big luck floating around New Jersey last week. Here are a few more standout scratch-off wins:

  • $250,000 – Crossword ($10 game)
Sold on January 7 at Wawa on Greentree Road in Sewell.
Two of the six top prizes are still unclaimed.

  • $200,000 – Deep Pockets ($5 game)
Sold on January 6 at 7-Eleven on Morris Avenue in Summit.
One top prize is still out there.

  • $200,000 – Sizzling Hot 7’s ($5 game)
Sold on January 7 at Quick Food on Poole Avenue in Hazlet.
This was the fourth and final grand prize.

Big wins, last-chance prizes, and a lucky Newark stop—last week was a solid reminder that scratch-offs can still surprise.
