On Friday, the grand prize jackpot of $476 million dollars for Mega Millions was won by a lucky individual in New York who had matched all the numbers.

The winning ticket was sold at Liberty Beer & Convenience, located on Liberty Avenue in Ozone Park, Queens, New York.

This win has set a new record in the state of New York, surpassing the previous highest jackpot of $473 million dollars that was won on January 1st, 2019.

The lump sum take-home payoff for the winner is estimated to be approximately $253 million dollars.

Winner has not yet came forward to claim there prize, more information will be released once the lottery ticket is claimed.
