Nors Springs man hits $100,000 lottery scratcher jackpot

A lucky man from Nors Springs named Anthony Moore won a whopping sum of $100,000 playing Iowa Lottery’s “Hit It Big!” scratch game. 

The winning ticket was sold at Casey’s in Nora Springs. The store will receive a bonus of $1000 for selling the winning scratch-Off ticket. 

Moore claimed his prize Friday at the lottery’s Mason City regional office and took home $96,000 after state and federal taxes.

He said he plans to use part of his winnings to pay bills and save the rest.

The Iowa Lottery Authority is run by the state of Iowa. 

The Iowa Lottery portfolio includes Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto America, Lucky for Life, Pick 3, Pick 4, plus numerous instant scratch ticket, InstaPlay and pull-tab games.
