In a recent lottery win, a resident of Henderson County, North Carolina, William Byrnside, has claimed the first $2 million prize in a newly launched game.

Byrnside took a chance on a $20 scratch-off ticket and purchased his fortunate $2,000,000 Riches ticket from Molly's Market in Fletcher.

Opting for the lump-sum payment, he received $1.2 million after taxes, taking home a total of $855,006.

With more top prizes and smaller rewards remaining unclaimed, the $2,000,000 Riches game has gained significant attention since its debut this month.
