In his hometown of Clayton, Paul Harrison purchased a $1 Quick Pick ticket for the Cash 5 lottery game and ended up winning the jackpot worth $291,828.

The winning ticket was bought from the Town Food Market Inc. on U.S. 70 West. On March 14, he matched all five white balls, which led him to arrive at lottery headquarters on March 18 to collect his prize.

After state and federal tax withholdings, he received $207,928 as his reward. Harrison was overjoyed and grateful for his good fortune in the lottery.

Cash 5 is a popular lottery game in North Carolina where players can win cash prizes by matching five numbers out of a possible 41. Players can choose to select their own numbers or use the Quick Pick option to have the computer randomly select numbers for them. The cost to play is $1 per ticket, and players can add the EZ Match feature for an additional $1 to potentially win instant cash prizes.

Cash 5 drawings are held every day at 11:22 PM EST, and players can purchase tickets up to 9:59 PM on the day of the drawing.
