North Carolina man won $600k with $10 Carolina Lottery ticket

A 55-year-old lucky man from North Carolina named Jay Mays won $600,000 scratch-off lottery game with ticket worth $10.

The winning ticket was sold at Express Food Mart and Grill on N.C. East in Middlesex, the store will receive a bonus of $5000 for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket. 

Mays was buying doughnuts when he decided to grab a scratch-off lottery ticket and ended up winning this huge amount.

He opted for a lump sum of $600,000, and after federal and state tax withholdings, he left with $426,063.

Mays plans to buy a new cycle for himself and buy something for each family member with his winning amount.
