A lucky man from Oakville named Mijo Broz won Lotto Max jackpot worth $1 million after playing the lottery regularly for many years.

The winning ticket was purchased at SJ Convenience Store on Windward Drive in Grimsby. The store will receive a bonus of $10,000 for selling the winning scratch-Off ticket.

The winner recently claimed his winning amount from the lottery headquarters and took home $956,000 after federal and state taxes.

Broz said that he already has plans for his money, but he won’t be enjoying it alone: he’ll be giving some to his family.

Lotto Max is a Canadian lottery game coordinated by the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation, as one of the country's three national lottery games.
