Ontario man analyzed winning numbers and won Lotto 6/49 jackpot worth $118k

A lucky man from Ontario named Rendall Pennie analyzed tge winning numbers with the help of excel sheet, and won Lotto 6/49 jackpot worth $118,002.

Pennie told lottery officials that he has been playing LOTTO 6/49 since it came out. He put together an excel sheet with all the winning numbers and analyze the data to pick the most common numbers.

Since Lotto 6/49 was launched all the way back in 1982, Pennie had 41 years of data to work with.

"This money going to do so much for me," Pennie told the OLG.

Lotto 6/49 is one of three national lottery games in Canada. 

Winning numbers are drawn by the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation (ILC) every Wednesday and Saturday, executed with a random number generator.
