Lottery winner inspired by late dad's advice in a dream, ends up winning $100K through Encore

A 50-year-old truck driver from Burlington, Ontario, has won $100,000 in the Lotto 6/49 draw using numbers his late father gave him in a dream.

Michael Taylor had been playing the lottery for 30 years and had used his father's numbers for his original Lotto 6/49 picks.

He also had some additional luck from the computer-generated Encore numbers, matching six of seven in exact order.

The win means he can pay off his mortgage and retire early, which he is excited about. Taylor's lucky ticket was purchased at a Fortinos on Appleby Line in Burlington.

The bonus game, Encore, allows players to pay an extra $1 to attach to their already purchased ticket for a host game.
