A lucky Ontario man named Thomas Yule won a whopping Lotto 6/49 jackpot worth $200,000 in the Gold Ball Draw.

He has been playing the Lotto 6/49 since 1991 regularly. When he checked his phone and using the OLG app to check his ticket he found out his huge win.

“I stared at my phone and smiled silently for a while,” recalled Yule. “I said to myself, ‘Wow, I can retire.’ It’s pretty amazing.”

Yule plans to buy a car, put his winnings towards investments, and share the money with his daughters.

Lotto 6/49 is one of three national lottery games in Canada. Winning numbers are drawn by the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation (ILC) every Wednesday and Saturday, executed with a random number generator.
