An Ontario Student Just Became The Youngest Person In Canadian Lottery History To Win $48M

One lucky student from Ontario named Juliette Lamour won a whopping sum of $48 million playing Lotto 6/49 during the January 7, 2023, Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball draw.

The winning ticket was sold at a local convenience store in Ontario. The store will receive a bonus of $1 million for selling the winning scratch-Off ticket.

Juliette is the youngest person in the country to have won such a massive amount, winning it on her first-ever lottery ticket purchase.

"I still can't believe I hit the Gold Ball jackpot on my very first lottery ticket!" she exclaimed.

Juliette, whose father is a financial planner, said most of the prize money will be invested as she works towards her dream of becoming a doctor.

She recognizes her newfound wealth's impact, but she's confident her support system will keep her grounded.

Lotto 6/49 is one of three national lottery games in Canada.

Winning numbers are drawn by the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation (ILC) every Wednesday and Saturday, executed with a random number generator.
