Ottawa County Man Wins $1 Million on Michigan Lottery Instant Ticket

Adam Meloche, a 33-year-old resident of Ottawa County in Michigan, struck it rich by winning the grand prize of $1 million on an instant lottery ticket.

The winning ticket was purchased at Wesco, a convenience store located at 502 West Savidge St. in Spring Lake.

The lucky winner played the Michigan Lottery’s Cashword Times 20 and the second ticket he scratched turned out to be the winner.

While he is thrilled with the win, Meloche also plans to be responsible with his newfound wealth.

He expressed that winning a large sum of money comes with a lot of responsibility, but he will be smart with it.

Meloche opted to receive a one-time lump sum payment of about $634,000 rather than 30 annuity payments for the full amount.

He has big plans for the winnings, which include buying a new truck, taking a golfing trip, and spoiling his wife and daughter.
