Pensacola Man Wins $1 Million in Florida Lottery Scratch-Off Game

Earl Evans, a resident of Pensacola, Florida, is now a millionaire after winning $1 million in the Gold Rush Limited scratch-off game.

The Florida Lottery confirmed the win on Thursday, stating that Evans claimed his prize at the Lottery's Pensacola District Office. He opted to receive a lump-sum payment of $795,000.

Evans is one of many lucky winners in recent lottery drawings across the United States. In California, a Mega Millions ticket sold in Boron won one player $1 million, with the winner choosing to remain anonymous.

Takoma Park resident claimed a $50,000 Bonus Match 5 prize just in time before the deadline, and a Publix store in Sebastian sold one of three winning Fantasy 5 tickets for Monday's drawing.
