$500K Powerball Ticket Sold At Pratt Street Store

A stroke of luck has struck Philadelphia as a local Pennsylvania Lottery retailer sold a Powerball with Double Play ticket worth a remarkable $500,000.

The ticket, purchased for the Saturday, July 8 drawing, successfully matched all five Double Play balls drawn: 12-23-30-42-62. Although it missed out on the Double Play Powerball number 21, the ticket still secured a substantial prize of $500,000, after applicable withholding.

EZ Smoke Plus, located at 1542 Pratt St. in Philadelphia, not only helped create a life-changing moment for an anonymous individual but also earned a well-deserved $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The Pennsylvania Lottery introduced the Double Play feature in August 2021 when it launched a third weekly drawing on Mondays. With drawings held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, the Double Play option offers players an additional chance to win by using their Powerball numbers in a separate drawing.

The top cash prize for the Double Play drawing stands at an impressive $10 million, making it an enticing opportunity for players seeking extra excitement.
