Pittsboro Man's Unbelievable $200,000 Lottery Win: A Dream Come True

Nicholas Parker from Pittsboro had an unbelievable moment after discovering a major win on a $5 scratch-off lottery ticket, earning himself $200,000.

Parker recounted his disbelief when initially scratching the Carolina Panthers ticket, purchased from Sheetz in Fuquay-Varina. Initially thinking it was a $200 win, he was stunned as he realized the substantial prize.

"It felt like a dream; I thought I'd wake up any second," Parker expressed. The realization dawned on him as he saw the numerous zeroes, taking a moment to let it sink in.

"It was surreal. I was thrilled and a little overwhelmed," Parker laughed, acknowledging that it took a while for the win to fully register.

After taxes, Parker took home $142,501, which he intends to allocate towards settling bills and making some investments.
