A Port Lincoln man has been playing the Keno lottery game for decades and finally won Keno Spot 8 prize worth $50,000.

The winner is a South Australian who won the $50,000 Keno Spot 8 prize in draw 220808 215, drawn Monday 8 August 2022.

The winning ticket was purchased at Grand Tasman Hotel, 94 Tasman Terrace, Port Lincoln.

The Lottery official confirmed the win.

 “I was so excited. I had to check it 10 times,” he cheered.

“I’ve been playing for years and years with the same numbers – birthdays and anniversary dates.

“I put an entry on at the hotel, and I’d forgotten about it until I went home.

“When I checked my ticket, I first said, ‘Ooh! Ooh!’.

“I’ll probably share the prize with my daughters and visit the rest of my family in Adelaide.

“We’ll gather the family around and have a celebration!”
