Someone in Deep River scoop $100k Powerball win

A Deep River resident won $100,000 playing the CT Lottery.

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, won by playing Powerball.

The resident purchased the lucky ticket Monday at the Xtra Mart in Westbrook.

The CT Lottery furnishes winner information as public records.

The Connecticut Lottery only publishes names of people who win $10,000 or more, which officials claim is quite common.

"The fact is, people, win every day with the CT Lottery!" officials said in a statement.

If anybody has a winning ticket, the player must keep it safe and claim the winning prize by visiting the nearest lottery headquarters. The player can also have the facility of calling or seeing mail to start the claiming process.
