A Greenwich resident recently hit it big thanks to some luck and the Connecticut Lottery.

Katherine Hohl Decarlo won $50,000 after playing Powerball. Playing the game costs $2 per wager.

The winning ticket was purchased at Stateline Stationery, located at 215 Mill St.

If anybody has a winning ticket, the player must keep it safe and claim the winning prize by visiting the nearest lottery headquarters. The player can also have the facility of calling or seeing mail to start the claiming process.
