A Hartford resident didn't exactly hit the massive prize associated with the Connecticut Lottery Corp.

Mega Millions drawing. But Hartford resident Ana Martinez did come away with a nice payout Monday, winning $10,000 in the drawing, according to the Connecticut Lottery Corp.

State officials said the winning ticket was purchased at a Wethersfield Citgo station.

Mega Millions, a multi-state game, is a minimum $2 wager, with options for $1 multipliers, that can bring with it a minimum payout of $20 million, with the current jackpot at $277 million.

The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.

They also said that the winner has 180 days from the day of the lottery draw to claim the winning prize money.
