A lucky woman from Salisbury won a whopping sum of $1 million playing Powerball jackpot by matching numbers on five white balls.

The winning ticket was sold at the Sheetz on Charlotte Highway in Troutman. The store will receive a bonus of $10,000 for selling the winning scratch-Off ticket.

The winner recently claimed her winning amount from the lottery headquarters and, after required federal and state tax withholdings, took home $710,101.

Powerball is an American lottery game offered by 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday evening at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time, at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.
