A fortunate Schuylkill County huh bags a big jackpot recently

A Pennsylvania Lottery scratch-off ticket worth $1 million was sold in Schuylkill County.

The winning ticket was sold at Pantry Quik on the 800 block of West Penn Pike in Tamaqua. The story will get a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The winning ticket was for the $1 Million Money Tree game — which is $20 a ticket. Remember, scratch-off prizes expire one year after the game's end-sale date, which is posted at palottery.com.

"Scratch-Offs are distributed at random, meaning the Pennsylvania Lottery and its retailers do not know where winning tickets will be sold.

The Lottery learns where winning tickets are sold only after a prize has been claimed," a statement from the lottery said.
