A lucky Sudbury resident matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in the exact order in the Sept. 10, 2022, Lotto 6/49 draw to win $100,000.

The winner is a woman who won $3 on her Lotto 6/49 selection and $2 on another Encore selection, bringing her total winnings to $100,005.

The winner said she has been playing the lottery game for the last 40 years and Lotto 6/49 is her favorite game.

“I always add Encore,” she added while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “I checked my ticket at the store and thought I won $10,000 at first. The store clerk came over and told me I won $100,000. It was unbelievable – I was shocked!”

“It was the day before my husband’s birthday and my family didn’t believe me,” she said. “When they saw the win for themselves, they were thrilled.”

The winner plans to put her money in the bank for retirement.
