Truganian woman won life changing $20 million Powerball jackpot

A lucky Truganina woman won a life-changing $20 million Powerball jackpot prize last night's drawing.

The multi-millionaire is a Melbourne mother who won division one prize in Powerball draw 1369 which was drawn on Thursday 11 August 2022.

The winning ticket was purchased at Wyndham Village Lotto & News, Shop 39, Wyndham Village Shopping Centre, 380 Sayers Road, Tarneit.

The Lott official reached out to the winner and confirmed the win.

“Oh, my goodness! I haven’t slept a wink!” she laughed when talking to an official from The Lott this morning.

“I was sitting in the lounge room, and I checked the winning numbers before going to bed, and I didn’t believe it!

“I couldn’t get out of the chair. I couldn’t go to the toilet. I couldn’t move. It was so surreal.

“My husband didn’t believe the winning news, and he jokingly said to me,

‘Oh, don’t be stupid!’. But then he just said to me, ‘Oh wow, it’s real?!’.

“When I purchased the ticket, my husband and daughter were with me, and I told them that I’d put a ticket on for Powerball, and my husband said to me, ‘Don’t bother, we’re never going to win!’.

“I guess I’ve proved him wrong!

“I’ve never expected to win anything big. I usually land three numbers, but never anything more!

“This is truly amazing!”
