Time is running out for a lucky individual who purchased a Mega Millions ticket in Ames last year.
The ticket is worth a staggering $1 million, but the winner has only until September 6 to claim their prize.
The winning ticket was sold at The Filling Station and Gateway Express, located at 2400 University Blvd. in Ames.
It matched the first five numbers (6-17-46-59-68) in the September 6, 2022, drawing, missing only the Mega Ball 2.
The clock is ticking, as prizes above $250,000 must be claimed in person at the Iowa Lottery headquarters in Clive.
