In a stroke of luck, a man from Washington, D.C. won $50,000 on a scratch-off ticket he purchased from a gas station in Silver Spring, Maryland.

The man, who works as a concierge at a local tennis club, decided to stop at the Fenton Street Exxon and play his favorite hobby of scratch-off tickets.

After scratching the Crazy 8s ticket in the store, he couldn't believe his eyes when he realized he had won the top prize. Due to his busy schedule, it took him a month to claim his prize at lottery headquarters in Baltimore.

The man plans to deposit the money in the bank and take some time to make a decision on what to do with his winnings. The Fenton Street Exxon will also receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
