Another Wellander celebrating big lottery win

A lucky man from Welland named Pierre Morrison won $100,000 playing Encore in the Lotto 649 draw held on 15th October. This is the third major winner sold in Welland recently.

The winning ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven on Crowland Avenue in Welland. The ticket distributor will get a bonus of $1000 for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Morrison plans to pay some bills, save and help his children with his winnings.

Lotto 6/49 is one of three national lottery games in Canada and was the first nationwide Canadian lottery game to allow players to choose their own numbers.

Winning numbers are drawn by the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation every Wednesday and Saturday, executed with a random number generator.
