A winning New Jersey lottery ticket was recently sold at the Shop Rite in Monmouth Junction on Route 1, according to a press release. The winner matched all five numbers drawn and received $119, 972.

"Congratulations to our very fortunate Jersey Cash 5 winner! We hope this incredible prize brings joy and happiness to the winner; we’re already looking forward to awarding another jackpot prize!” said New Jersey Lottery Executive Director James Carey in a released statement.

The recipient won the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot on Wednesday, July 5th, 2023. The winning numbers were 01,06,16,23, and 27.

The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for the winning ticket sold, according to New Jersey Lottery. The identity of the winner has not been made public.
