Potential $31-million Lottomax winner from Cape Breton comes forward

A winning Lotto Max lottery ticket worth $31 million that was sold in New Waterford for Jan.31 drawing is finally claimed.

The $31 million prize is a record Atlantic Lottery win for Cape Breton and Nova Scotia, following Raymond Lillington’s $17,405,158 prize in August 2020.

Every major prize winner has to go through the win validation process before it is officially awarded and that is currently underway.

Greg Weston, communications strategist for ALC reiterated that the work is currently underway and they do look forward to sharing more details just as soon as they are able to share them.

Lotto Max is a Canadian lottery game coordinated by the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation, as one of the country's three national lottery games.

Lotto Max drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday.
