The lottery luck, Powerball luck, that Louisiana has been experiencing over the past few weeks is continuing. Once again a ticket sold in Louisiana for the multi-state Powerball lottery game has produced a big-money winner.

No, the Louisiana sold ticket did not claim the game's top prize. No ticket sold for last night's drawing matched all the numbers necessary to do that.

The top prize in last night's drawing was an estimated $247 million. The Powerball jackpot has been growing since a ticket sold in Connecticut on Valentine's Day claimed the game's top prize which at the time was $185.3 million.

Meanwhile, in last night's game, the Louisiana Lottery Corporation is reporting that in addition to the big $50,000 winner there were a lot of smaller prizes claimed by Powerball players in the state.

According to the Louisiana Lottery, there were three tickets sold in the state that are connected to a $300 prize. There are also 12 Powerball tickets sold in Louisiana that are worth $100 this morning.
