Woman woke up to discover life changing lottery win

A Carrum Downs woman can’t wait to book the next flights to see her daughter living overseas after landing a buoyant $800,000 win in a Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw that left her on cloud nine.

The Melburnian held one of the five division one winning entries nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4307, drawn Wednesday 26 July 2023 and took home $800,000.00.

So far in 2023, there have been 10 division one winning entries in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, collectively taking home more than $17.02 million in prize money.

The victorious Victorian received the surprise of a lifetime when she visited her local newsagency to check the ticket and was floored by the division one windfall.

“It’s wonderful!” she cheered.

“I’m honestly shaking. I can’t believe it. “I usually check my tickets at home before I come into the newsagency, but I didn’t this time.

“I had absolutely no idea. I went to purchase another ticket and then the team member told me that the prize couldn’t be claimed there. I thought it was a bit odd and then I was put on the phone to you. “I have to tell my husband.

He won’t believe me and will probably think I’m joking! “Oh, this is just so great. I’ve had such a terrible year last year, and this will change everything.

“I can finally see my daughter who lives overseas as well. She is always asking that I come see her!

“I’ll be able to say goodbye to renting and hello to a brand-new unit! “Thank you so much.”
