The unexpected windfall will make her debt-free, and she plans to use the remainder for savings

A young Bundaberg woman who bought everyone in her family, including herself, Instant Scratch-Its tickets for Christmas was stunned to discover her ticket revealed a $150,000 prize.

Her winning $10 Jumbo Crosswords Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Lucky Dollar Newsagency, 73 Bourbong Street, Bundaberg.

“It’s kind of crazy!” the winning woman explained to an official from The Lott.

“I bought a few of these tickets as gifts for my family for Christmas and I also bought myself one. “Then, on Christmas Eve, we scratched them.

“At first, I was counting the words and thought I’d won a smaller prize.

“But then we kept checking the ticket and would find an extra word.

“Then I was like, ‘no way!

That’s the top prize!’.

“My family didn’t win anything on their tickets, but they were very happy for me. “It’s quite a boost going into the new year.

“I’ll be debt free and the rest of the prize I’ll use for savings until I get a better idea of how best to use it.”
