$1 million Powerball winning ticket was sold in Northwestern Wisconsin

Northwestern Wisconsin store sold $1 million Powerball ticket

According to the lottery officials, a match five ticket of Powerball lottery was sold in Northwestern Wisconsin for Monday night's drawing. 

The lucky ticket holder, who bought the ticket at the Marathon Convenience Store in Spooner, Wisconsin that matched all five white ball numbers but missed the Powerball number to win $1 million prize. 

According to Wisconsin Lottery officials, the winning ticket is the first million dollar winner sold for a Monday drawing since Powerball added Monday drawing on August 23, 2021.

"I hope the winner is someone who really needs it," said Spooner Marathon store manager, Tiffany Nutt.

"Lottery tickets are popular in our store. We sell a lot of Scratch games, but we sell quite a bit of Powerball too."
