A fortunate player of Tennessee lottery wins a big jackpot in Kentucky

A Tennessee man won one million dollars on from the Kentucky Lottery after his father picked up a scratch-off ticket earlier this month.

Jody, who asked not to share his last name, told lottery officials his dad purchased a Casino Nights scratch-off from the Adairville Market in Adairville on June 8.

When his father picked up the ticket, he said he planned on scratching it at the store. "I said [to the clerk], 'If I hit this million dollars, I ain't ever eating bologna again," Jody's father said.

Lottery officials said his father revealed the winning prize within the first few rows. He had matched three key symbols next to the top prize amount.

Jody's father called his son after realizing he had won to share the news with him. "He went, 'You'll never believe what I just did,'" Jody said.

"And, I said, 'What?' He said, 'We just won a $1,000,000!' I was sitting there thinking, yeah right, I don't believe you!"
