A New Plymouth Lotto player won $13 million Powerball prize is in disbelief

A New Plymouth player became multi-millionaire after he won a Powerball prize $13 million

In late last month, a Taranaki supermarket owner of New World Merrilands Luke store was buzzing after it sold $13 million prize ticket - saying the atmosphere was amazing in the morning as they were waiting for the winner to claim the prize. 

The New Plymouth Lotto player left in disbelief after he after he discovered that he scooped $13 million life changing Powerball lottery prize. 

Now the winner has come forward to claim his prize, saying they feel 'very very lucky' which going to change their life forever. 

The lucky winner found out that they had won a life changing prize while at the supermarket for some groceries last week. 

The lotto player actually had a couple of tickets to check, so he handed the tickets to the lady at the counter. 

"When she put this tickets through, I heard the winning music play and looked at the women, who very discreetly handed me a slip of paper with $13,000,000 printed on it." The winner said.

The winner could not believe his own eyes. "My eyes were so blurry with tears that I couldn't read the numbers properly."

Initially they thought that they had won $13,000, it took time ton sink in the real amount of prize they had actually won. 

The first thing that the winner did was to call a relative to tell them about the big win.

"They could hardly believe it either." He said.

Tha winner said to the Lott that he is going to use the winning prize money to set himself and his family for the future. "It's going to make a world of difference - we feel very, very Lucky."
