A scratch off lottery player from Akron scoops a big jackpot recently

A lucky Akron resident is taking home a hefty prize after winning the jackpot from a scratch-off ticket.
According to Ohio Lottery, the man purchased the “Billion” scratch-off ticket from Lakemore Wine & Liquor at 1500 Canton Road in Akron.
He won the top prize of $50,000 a year for 20 years, totaling $1 million. Lottery officials say the winner chose the $500,000 cash prize.
After state and federal taxes, he will take home $360,000. According to lottery officials, there are still three top prizes left for the $50 lottery game.
The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.
