A lucky man from California named Edward Lojewski won Mega Millions jackpot worth $247 million on January. 14 drawing. 

The winning ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven in San Jose located in California. The store will receive a bonus of $2,000 for selling the winning scratch-Off ticket. 

“I watched the news and saw the winning retailer and knew that was where I bought my tickets,” he told the California Lottery. 

Lojewski plans to invest some of his winnings, donate to charities, and take care of his family.

Mega Millions is an American multijurisdictional lottery game, it is offered in 45 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Mega Millions is drawn at 11 pm Eastern Time on Tuesday and Friday evenings, including holidays.
