A winning Powerball ticket worth $790,446 won second-place prize in the drawing and missed the $1.2 Billion jackpot by one Powerball number.
It was one of two winning tickets from Monday’s drawing that were sold in California. A ticket sold in Visalia also managed to hit five numbers, missing only the Powerball.
The winning ticket matched all five winning numbers but missed only the Powerball number of Monday’s draw.
The ticket was sold at a convenience store in Mid-City. The store will receive a bonus of $7000 for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
The owner will remain anonymous to lottery officials until they come forward to claim their prize.
