A Powerball lottery player from new Hampshire scoops a big jackpot recently

During the Powerball's multi-state game on Saturday, Oct. 7, a lucky resident from New Hampshire bought a ticket in Massachusetts and won a whopping $1 million prize.

The highly anticipated $1.4 billion jackpot was featured in the same drawing, making it an eventful and exciting night for all participants.

Jonathan Bulmer from Chester won the prize when the first five numbers on his Quick Pick ticket matched the winning numbers selected in the drawing.

He bought his winning ticket at A.L. Prime Energy on Bridge St. in Dracut, earning the store a $10,000 bonus.

Bulmer claimed his prize on Oct. 11 at the Massachusetts State Lottery's Dorchester headquarters. He told the Lottery that he only plays Powerball when the jackpot is high.
