A Fijian-Canadian man won $1 million lottery prize

Lucky for a Fijian-Canadian man who won $1 million lottery prize and is looking forward to visit his home Country to celebrate the good fortune. 

Koshik Chand, who visited British Columbia for Career said, it's been a while since he has gone back to Fiji, but after winning the $1 million guaranteed prize in the Lotto 6/49 draw on July 10, he plans to pack his bags soon. 

"I came to British Columbia in 2009 to develop my career. I never thought that I would win, but I've always wanted to go on a vacation in Fiji to see my family," 

Chand his thankful to the lottery that finally he can visit his home Country to celebrate a big news after years. 

The big ticket was purchased at the Shoppers Drug Mart at the Nordel Crossing in Surrey. The winner was at a convenience store where he scanned the ticket and found out he won.

Chand said to the officials that on his first list after a trip back to Fiji, he would like to buy a new house for his family and perhaps donate some of his winnings to the charity.
